As a Callebaut customer, how do I contribute to sustainability?
At Callebaut, we source 100% sustainable cocoa for our Finest Belgian Chocolate. With every pack you purchase, a portion goes towards funding the implementation of the productivity and community development activities of the Cocoa Horizons Foundation.
How is the Cocoa Horizons Premium used and verified.
The use of the Cocoa Horizons premium is fully transparent and verified by a third party yearly in the Cocoa Snapshot available on the Cocoa Horizons website. The premium breakdown is as follows: 41% is used to fund productivity activities, 18% for community development activities, 27% as a cash premium for each registered farmer and 14% for administrative activities.
What is the link between Forever Chocolate, Cocoa Horizons and Callebaut?
Callebaut is a brand belonging to the Barry Callebaut Group. Together with our parent company, we are part of the Forever Chocolate movement. Our aim is to make sustainable chocolate the norm. Cocoa Horizons is Barry Callebaut’s in-house programme, our preferred vehicle to deliver the Forever Chocolate targets. We believe we can make the biggest impact with on-the-ground implementing teams working alongside farmers. That’s exactly what the Cocoa Horizons programme does. Callebaut pays a premium with each Finest Belgian Chocolate pack, partly funding the activities of the Cocoa Horizons Foundation and contributing to the 2025 Forever Chocolate targets.

No. Forever Chocolate is the group’s sustainability strategy to make sustainable chocolate the norm. The Cocoa Horizons Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to sustainable cocoa with a mission to improve the livelihoods of cocoa farmers and their communities through the promotion of sustainable, entrepreneurial farming, improved productivity, and community development. This is where we believe we can have the biggest impact on the ground. It is one of the key vehicles through which we will achieve our Forever Chocolate commitments.
